Say Yes

 If you say yes
A thousand stars will glimmer in the night sky
And the moon will go from being silver to being golden
And the waves violent of the ocean would become peaceful rivesupon our knees


If you say yes the sky will be forever blue
The earth would be a perfect sphere
And many Gods would come from the heaven


And maybe one day
We’ll walk on a beach
hand in hand
breathing each other’s breaths
Like Amazonian snakes feasting on tropical fruits
With waves crashing upon rocks dying in an instant
Upon our souls setting foot in the waters
Which makes room for all new things on earth?


If you say yes
Happiness will be jealous  
For He will need a new name  
And Our names together
Would spell His new name


Say yes
And eternity can be ours
no more pain wrought by Fate
She is an old foe about to die
No more shame brought by nature
His blessings are upon us now


Say yes
And Together will have a new definition
One which will not be in any dictionary
And Love will have ambassadors
For the first time in history
For Time will make that Yes
A holiday to remember the world over
Time after time
